As I am sitting here writing this today, I am seeing big snowflakes falling from the sky outside my window and they are covering everything in a blanket of white. It is actually quite pretty. I do love how our seasons change and how everything looks new again. I hope you all are continuing to stay safe and healthy. We sure miss seeing you all!

Due to the recent COVID-19 emergency orders issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the senior center will be closed for three weeks effective Nov. 18. Our office staff will be working from home, so if you need to reach us, please call 341-5923 and your call will be routed to our office personnel. We will be happy to assist you in any way that we can.

The CAA Senior Nutrition Program and Meals on Wheels will continue to serve meals. If you need assistance from them, please call 341-5085.

Senior Nutrition will not be serving meals on Nov. 26 or 27 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. If you are wanting meals for those days, please be sure to let the kitchen, or your driver, know.

Looking ahead to next week, it will Thanksgiving already. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope your holiday is as wonderful as you can make it and I hope you all remain well.
