EAST LANSING – Michigan State University is hosting a virtual Zoom workshop to gather crucial feedback about current coastline perceptions from the Manistique community Dec. 1 from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Among other topics, the workshop will allow researchers to discuss the shoreline monitoring techniques they are implementing in Manistique.
This event is designed to engage with decision-makers and seeks to better understand the needs of the Manistique community around coastal hazard mitigation and continued monitoring.
Major components of the workshop include: how the team has used drones for coastal monitoring, participating in interactive coastline activities specific to Manistique, and learning about how modeling coastlines can help better assess hazards.
